Dreams and Nightmares is the Philadelphia native, Meek Mill's, debut studio album. If I said the album had quite a bit of hype built up for its release, that would be an understatement. Not only is Meek apart of one of the hottest labels in today's Rap and Hip-Hop game (Maybach Music Group), his most recent mixtape release (Dreamchasers 2) was a huge hit.
How huge? Dreamchasers 2 is leading one of the most notable mixtape sites, DatPiff, in downloads with over 3.5 million... Dreamchasers 2 has a million more downloads than any other mixtape there. More downloads than Lil Wayne's Sorry 4 the Wait (2.5mil), Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Alderdice (1.5mil), and even Rick Ross' Rich Forever (1.5mil).
Moral of the story: if you haven't heard it, give it a listen... Right now!
I listening to it as I type. I believe it will be very hard for Meek to live up to the enormous amount of hype behind the album, but that's just me. Give it an ear yourself:
